Occupational lung health
Lung-health screening that keeps your site compliant and your people working
Screening days, spirometry records and reporting for mines, construction and dust-exposed industry. Delivered with the occupational health team at Therapy On The Go, part of the House of Experts Group.
This platform records measurements taken by your health practitioner and readings you self-report. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.
Who it is for
Built for high-exposure workforces
Mining
Dust and respirable crystalline silica exposure, medical surveillance under the Mine Health and Safety Act, and a large post-TB workforce.
Construction & manufacturing
Task-specific certificates of fitness for construction workers, plus surveillance where hazardous chemical agents or dust are present.
Transport, security & services
Fitness-for-work programmes and wellness days for mobile workforces, with one record that follows the worker.
The rules you already work under
We fit into the surveillance you are required to run
Mine Health and Safety Act, s13
Employers run medical surveillance where risk requires it, through an appointed occupational medical practitioner, and keep the records.
Silica limit for mines
The respirable crystalline silica limit for mines was lowered to 0.05 mg/m³ (8-hour average) in 2025, which raises the bar for dust control and surveillance.
Construction Regulations 2014
Construction employees need a medical certificate of fitness from an occupational health practitioner for their specific tasks.
Hazardous Chemical Agents Regulations 2021
Medical surveillance, which can include spirometry, applies where exposure could lead to a detectable disease.
A plain-language summary, not legal advice. Your occupational medical practitioner sets the surveillance programme for your site.
How we deliver
From screening day to board report
Screening day on your site
Therapy On The Go's occupational health practitioners run spirometry and the related medicals at your premises, by appointment or in mobile clinics.
One consented record
Results are captured once, with the worker's written consent, and kept for the treating clinician in line with POPIA.
Employer-safe reporting
Leadership sees participation and trends as de-identified aggregates only, never for a group smaller than 10 people.
Practices and clinics can also find LungSync in the Healthcare App solutions directory, and employers can read the mining & heavy industry guides.
Plan a screening day for your site
Share your headcount, province and main exposures. We reply with a proposed date, the tests your practitioner recommends and a quote.
